The experience
of a networked home environment begins at the front door of
the Smarthome where visitors
can enroll their fingerprints. The FINGERPRINT scanner
is an integral part of the Smarthome
experience - it is the key that unlocks the door to
Smarthome.
The Smarthome door lock
can be opened with the touch of a user’s fingertip without
any risk of it being stolen or copied like cards or keys can.
Users also do not need to remember passwords or pin codes.
It offers both security and convenience.
The lock is designed to comply with the global Fire and Safety
Regulations. The door can always opened from the inside providing
a quick exit in case of an emergency or fire. Unlike any other
door lock system that ask for the password first, it only
requires your fingertip to process user verification. It operates
with 1 to multiple identification method having less than
0.5 seconds of verification time.
User registration, deletion, and mode programming are done
through the PC . All operations can be completed in about
10 seconds and do not require any special skill or training.
The operation of the unit can be adjusted to the specific
needs of the user. For example a user can program the door
to stay unlocked until reset via the 'Manual Locking Mode'
or can have a preset lock period when using the 'Automatic
Locking Mode'. Its 'In Free' function enables the user to
open the door easily from the inside and closes automatically
for the users convenience.
A built in speaker on the front panel serves as door phone
and is an integral part of the SMART
MESSAGING SYSTEM.
